About the Different Moods of the Landscape Poems of Wangwei and Meng Haoran

Abstract

Wangwei and Meng Haoran rivaled each other in their landscape poems in the Tang Dynasty.But different life experiences and different pursuit make the moods expressed by their poems quite different.Wangwei led a simple life without worldly desires.The color of Buddhism could be strongly felt in his poems While Meng Haoran expressed his strong aspiration in his plain yet grand poems.
