On the Representative Variant of Lanzhou & Yinchuan Mandarin Dialect in North Xinjiang Area,Main Branch of Xinjiang Han Dialect

This article is a study of the representative dialect of Xinjiang Han Dialect.It first discusses the phonetic features of the Variant of Lanzhou Yinchuan Mandarin Dialect in North Xinjiang Area,excluding all the other variants from the other parts of Xinjiang as the representative variant based on their political,economic,and cultural background;and then analyzes the variant of Urumqi in its long history,Urumqi's contemporary administrative subordination,Urumqi's political,economic and cultural status after Qing Dynasty,and Urumqi's large population which ever occupied the highest position among the Mandarin-speaking people in Xinjiang.The article is finally concluded that Urumqi Dialect is the representative variant of North Xinjiang Area of Lanzhou Yinchuan Mandarin Dialect.
