Tissues on the Study of Xinjiang Chinese Dialect

The study on Xinjiang Chinese dialect has been over 30 years, however, there still exist different views on the issues concerning definition of Xinjiang Chinese dialect, settlement on the term indicating the dialect, classification / distribution of the dialect, deciding typical location of the dialect, unification and division of thhe dialect spoken by han people and by hui people, characteristics of Urumqi dialect, and controversy over whether to acknowledge that Xinjiang Bingtuan dialect / quasi-Henan dialect is a branch of Xinjiang Chinese dialect. This paper, as a partial achievement of the project Study on Xinjiang Chinese Dialect supported by National Fund in So- cial Science, attempts to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth analysis, meanwhile, a corresponding conclusion is presented.
