Study on the Typical Municipal Wastewater Quality in the Upper Reaches of Three Gorges Reservoir

The influent quality of municipal wastewater treatment plants of Yubei,Changshou and Fuling in the upper reaches of Three Gorges Reservoir were analyzed.The results showed that there were great differences among the wastewater quality from the three districts,and the change trends with season were different.The wastewater quality in Yubei which was mainly from agriculture and pasture gardens and that mainly in Fuling which was mainly domestic wastewater changed obviously with season.According to the typical wastewater quality and the change characters in the three districts,the treatment process and management measures of wastewater treatment plants were determined to improve the influent quality,reduce the pollutant emissions of the upper reaches of Three Gorges Reservoir and relieve the stress of water pollution.
