Abstract

[Objective] The aim of this paper was to optimize the extraction process of Curcuma longa I essential oil.[Method] Essential oil of Curcuma longa I was obtained by the method of steam distill. The optimum extraction condition was investigated by the orthogonal design L9(34).Meanwhile,the DPPH method was used to determine the oxidation resistance ability of Curcuma longa I volatile oil.[Result] The optimum extraction condition was immersion for 0.5 h,700 ml watering quantity and 8.0 h extraction time. The volatile oil extraction rate was 7.26 %;The average clearance percentage of volatile oil free radical in Curcuma longa I was 75.16%.[Conclusion] The optimized process was stable and feasible. The Curcuma longa I volatile oil had certain oxidation resistance ability.
