Abstract
Objective:To explore the application of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM)in evaluating effect of irbesartan combined with amlodipine besylate on senile high blood pressure. Methods:A total of 82 elder cases with high blood pressure(HBP)were treated with oral administration of irbesartan combined with amlodipine besylate. The mean blood pressure 24 hours before and after administration, mean blood pressure during the day, load value of systolic pressure and change of dipper curve were recorded, and the differences were compared with statistic methods. Results:There were significant differences in mean blood pressure 24 hours before and after administration, mean blood pressure during the day, load value of systolic pressure and change of dipper curve P0.05).Conclusions:Irbesartan combined with amlodipine besylate is safe and effective in treatment of senile HBP,and deserves extensive clinic application.
