Abstract
The penetration effect of spiral maneuver and cycloid maneuver has been mainly researched for antiship missiles using the adjoint system and Laplace transform technique. The accelerations of spiral maneuver and cycloid maneuver can be expressed by their components in the pitch plane and the yaw plane. The simple solution of the miss distance has been obtained by analyzing the steadystate miss distance resulted from the maneuver acceleration in the plane. The effect of the maneuver continuing time on the steadystate miss distance is researched using the above solution.Synthesizing the steadystate miss distances of the pitch plane and the yaw plane gives the steadystate miss distance caused by the spiral maneuver or the cycloid maneuver. The simulation results show that the two forms of nonplanar maneuvers have better penetration effect than the forms of planar maneuvers.
