Abstract

In order to breed more varieties and develop the study of wheat heterosis utilizition in southwest wheat, the genetic diversity among 33 wheat cultivars(lines),which had been taken part in field experiment in the southwest of China during the period of 2005~2006,was investigated by SSR markers.A set of 24 pairs of SSR primers with stable amplified band patterns were screened and a total of 126 alleles were scored.3 to 11 alleles could be detected by each SSR primer with the average number of 5.25.The genetic similarity(GS) between two cultivars among the 33 wheat cultivars(lines) varied from 0.373 to 0.794 and the average was 0.597,indicating that the genetic diversity among these wheat cultivars in the study is abundant. The UPGMA analysis classified the 33 wheat cultivars(lines) into six clusters, which could reflect their genetic relationship in some degree.
