On Chinese "Loong" and "Dragon" from the Translation Strategy of Domestication and Foreignization

Domestication and foreignization are two major strategies to deal with factors of different cultures.From the perspective of the strategies of domestication and foreignization,with the former translation strategy,Chinese Loong should be translated into dragon .The strategy of foreignization adopting nutrients from the theory of post-colonialism regards domestication as conspiracy of the colonization and subjection of imperialism,showing the cultural hegemony.In this sense,the strategies of domestication and foreignization are not only the problem on language or translation skill,but a subversive strategy.
