Abstract
Oujiang River Estuary was divided into two water areas(Northern and Southern) by the line Lingkun Island,Lingni Seawall,Zhuangyuanao Island and Dongtou Island. In order to investigate the ecological characteristics of zooplankton in these two areas and evaluate the influence of human activities on it,two cruises were conducted in the Oujiang River estuary and its adjacent waters in November 2009 and January,2010 by using 505 μm mash net.The dominant species, abundance and secondary productivity of zooplankton were studied and compared between the two areas, and the main influence factors on zooplankton community characteristics were analyzed. The results showed that the dominant species in two areas were different significantly, the amount of warm water species in Southern were more than that in Northern in November;the dominant species between the two areas were not different significantly in January. The abundance in Northern was higher than that in Southern both in November and January.Average secondary productivity was low during the survey, but it's higher in Northern than that in Southern. The dominant species, abundance and secondary productivity of zooplankton were different between the Northern and the Southern, and it's obviously influenced by the changed geographic environment related to marine construction work.
