From Literary criticism to Cultural Criticism: Opportunity or Misfortune

The contemprary literary criticism is moving to the cultural criticsim. Behind the moving, there is a complex cultural reason. Though there is reason and realistic value for the moving, it should not be neglected that over-popularity of cultural criticism will lead to the absence of aesthetic standard and non-literary state of literary criticism. The acdemical charm and theoretical value can be realized only when aiming at literary criticim by means of cultural criticism.
