Abstract

Ecological footprint method is a new method for measuring ecological sustainable development, and studying circular economic quantification. The method is used to calculate ecological footprint and ecological footprint diversity and ecological bearing capacity of Wenzhou in 2002. The results show that the ecological deficit in Wenzhou was 1.7807 ha per cap in 2002,and ecological footprints went beyond 6.4 times ecological bearing capacity in Wenzhou in 2002. The ecological footprint diversity, the GDP ecological footprint and the development capacity were 0.2291, 1.4428ha/104yuan and 0.4719 respectively. All indexes in Wenzhou are lower than those in Hangzhou.
