Mao Zedong's Thoughts about Social Undertaking Development in the Initial Stage of PRC and Its Contemporary Implications

At the initial stage of PRC,the people's government has constructed not only its economy,regime,culture but also society,which includes the construction of various social undertakings.All these are carried out under the leadership of Mao Zedong.In fact,Mao Zedong has expounded much about the development of social undertakings like to develop the national scientific and popular new education,to encourage and prompt technology innovation,to advocate mass sports and to start sanitarian and epidemic preventative work etc.all of those are characterized by strict feasibility and distinct affinity to people.Of course,due to the limitation of the time and his subjectivity,his thoughts about social undertakings can inevitably present itself with certain limitations,represented by his regarding all people as the beneficiary of the construction,his vacillation in deciding strategies,the too strong political color and imbalance in different undertaking development.Both of the strengths and limitations have much implication for today's practice of propelling the society forward
