"Intertextuality" Theory and Design Narrative

Objective It studied how the intertextuality theory help design work to tell a story. Methods It analyzed the meaning of intertextuality and considered that any text was the absorption and adaptation of another text.It also discussed the intertextuality phenomenon in a variety of art and clarified the intertextuality theory could be applied in design narrative. Then it analyzed that how the theory acts as the role in design narrative based on two layers which is signifier and refers to. Conclusion It summarized the methods of design narrative by using the intertextuality theory, and pointed out the significance of the study.
