Abstract

Objective To discuss the influence of salmeterol fluticasone inhalation on serum inflammatory mediators of asthma patients. Methods 80 cases of asthma patients in acute stage of attack were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The patients in the two groups were given anti-infection,resolving phlegm and relieving cough, relieving spasmolysis and asthma, etc treatment. The patients in observation group were given salmeterol fluticasone inhalation one suction per time, two times daily for 8 weeks;while the patients in control group were given theophylline sustained release tablets 0. 1 g,one time, two times daily for 8 weeks. The changes of serum interleukin-4,8,9 and 10( IL-4,8,9 and 10) levels were observed before and after medical treatment, and the effect and security were carried on as well. Results After 8 weeks' medical treatment, the serum IL-4,8 and 9 levels of patients in the two groups declined obviously, while the serum IL-10 level rose obviously(P 0. 05 or P 0. 01),and the declining or rising rate in observation group was much higher than that in control group(P 0. 05). The total clinical efficiency in observation group was much higher than that in control group(χ2= 4. 11,P 0. 05). During the medical treatment, there were no serious drug adverse reactions(ADR). Conclusion The inhalation of salmeterol fluticasone has reliable effect on patients with asthma, its mechanism is related to lowering IL-4,8 and 9 levels, improving IL-10 level, and inhibiting the airway inflammation.
