Buddhism Worship and the Downfall of the Liao Dynasty

The authorities of Liao dynasty had more worship for Buddhism than the contemporary southern regimes.Buddhism,as a kind of culture,did promote the setting-up and consolidation of Liao government.However,a point of view from the following generation argues that it is Buddhism that ended the Liao dynasty and Buddhism worship aggravated class contradiction and made the emperor negligent in dealing with state affairs,therefore,the state was over.But as a matter of fact,the ending of Liao is not mere the direct result of Buddhism worship,but the unlimited worship of Buddhism,whose deep cause is the religious policies,instead.
