Abstract
Shi Ji has plenty of old myths.But it is not contradictory with Si Maqian's spirit of chronic of the reign of monarch.The myths show the historic process of pre-Qin culture from Wu to Shi which finally realizes the important transformation from perceptual spirit to rational spirit.The ancient myths and legends reproduce the process of history.And they draw a perfect picture of ancient history.They have a deep cultural connotation.
