Abstract
In this work, Zn–Al–Mg alloy wire material was produced by continuous melting, casting and drawing technique, then Zn–Al–Mg alloy coating was made by electric arc spraying using this material. The corrosion resistance of Zn–Al–Mg alloy coating was evaluated by Copper Accelerated Salt Spray test (CASS) and weight-loss test respectively. The effect of Mg content on corrosion resistance of coatings was also investigated by electrochemistry method. The electrochemical properties of alloy coating in corrosion process were analyzed as well. Finally, an optimized composition of alloy coating- Zn18Al0.5Mg was obtained.
