Abstract

Smart antenna is the key technique of the 3G/B3G of mobile communication systems. This paper gives some introductions about the beamforming and DOA estimation of smart antenna using genetic algorithm. The research results show that genetic algorithm is a novel approach of solving problems in smart antenna as a modern optimization algorithm.
