Abstract
The Revolution of 1911 overthrew the Qing dynasty,and terminated the feudal system of autocratic monarchy that lasted for more than two thousand years in China.Educational modernization was accelerated as a result,and preschool education as an important force of that drive was embarked.Chinese educationalists as well as educators explored this area in light of western theories and the practices.Chinese contemporary reform in the preschool education could gain many insights from experiences at that time.
