Abstract
The water sample was digested with HNO_3,and Ag~+ ion in the sample solution was determined both by ICP-AES and by FAAS.The values of detection limit(3s/k) found were 0.002 mg·L~(-1) for ICP-AES and 0.004 mg·L~(-1) for FAAS.The values of recovery and RSD's(n=6) for the two methods were in the ranges of 101%-104%,102%-108%and 0.7%-2.7%,2.6%-4.9%respectively.As a conclusion of the comparative study, the ICP-AES method was preferred in the determination of silver in water for its higher sensitivity and accuracy.
