RESOURCES AND DIVERSITY OF WILD FLOWER PLANTS IN JIANGXI PROVINCE

The species diversity, ornamental characters diversity and garden utilization diversity of wild flower plants in in Jiangxi Province were investigated and analyzed in this paper. There are 77 families including 257 species of wild flower plants among which the perennial ornamentals and the xylophyta are the dominant forms in Jiangxi Province. In these plants, the Orchidaceae, Magnoliaceae and Ericaceae are the key families with 67 species, 14 species and 7 species respectively, the Araliaceae and Rubiaceae are the minimum families with only 1-2 species. According to ornamental characteristics, these plants can be classified into five types including ornamental flowers, leaves and fruits. They also can be classified into parterre flowers, potted flowers and landscape flowers according to their utilization.
