Abstract

OBJECTIVE Through monitoring on rural drinking in recent years in Sanya, to understand the change trend of quality of rural drinking, to provide reliable scientific basis to improve the quality of the drinking water. METHODS Chose five towns in Sanya during 2009-2011 as monitoring stations, in the wet and dry seasons, sampled water, tested samples according to Standard test methods for drinking water (GB / T5750-2006), evaluated the results according to the Drinking health standard(GB5749-2006). RESULTS During 2009-2011, a total of 220 samples were detected, the qualified rate was 60.9%, among them, the qualified rates were 48.6% , 63.4% and 75.6% during 2009-2011, the difference was statistically significant (χ 2 = 14.04, P﹤ 0.01). The qualified rate of bacteriology index was only 69.09%. The differences in qualified rates of in five towns were found (χ 2 = 16.42, P ﹤ 0.01). In addition, the qualified rates in wet and dry seasons, finished and pipe were not statistically significant. CONCLUSION The qualified rate of living and drinking in rural area of Sanya is low, bacteriology index is the important factor for quality of rural drinking water, which suggests to strengthen the supervision and monitoring in drinking source, in order to ensure the health of the residents.
