Clinical Observation of "Cuyu Decoction" in Relieving Postoperative Pain and Edema of Mixed Hemorrhoids

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Cuyu Decoction in the treatment of postoperative local pain and edema of mixed hemorrhoids. Methods An open randomized controlled trial was performed. Thirty subjects in treatment group received Cuyu Decoction and routine treatment after hemorrhoidectomy, and another 30 cases in control group were simply given routine treatment. The symptoms of pain and edema were scored respectively at 48h, 72h and 7 days after hemorrhoidectomy. Results After treatment, the symptom scores of pain and edema in treatment group were lower than those in control group at 72h and 7 days after hemorrhoidectomy (P 0.01-0.05); and no side effects were found in treatment group. Conclusion Cuyu Decoction can effectively improve postoperative pain and edema.
