Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the effects of comprehensive health education measures on diabetics to make them actively cooperate with the treatment,self-care and management for controlling the disease progression and complications occurrence, and increasing the quality of life and survival rate.Methods:60 improved and discharged cases of diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,30 cases in each group. The patients and their families were introduced the methods of diet therapy, exercise therapy and the matters needing attention to in the two groups. The experimental group received the personalized health guidance including the patients participating in the discussion of goal setting, telephone return visit, regular follow-up assessment in outpatient clinic and diabetic lectures. After 6 months, fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin were detected and compared between the two groups. Results:Comparing the indexes of fasting glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin after 6 months in the two groups, the disease condition in the experimental group was better controlled than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:The comprehensive health education measures can better control the disease condition of diabetes patients.
