The Changing Relationship between Overseas Chinese,Ethnic Chinese and Their Hometowns:A Historical and Realistic Reflection

Abstract
The relationship between the overseas Chinese,the ethnic Chinese and their Hometowns is a special developing process and a structure in terms of economy and culture.Based on the history and reality,this paper makes a general analysis and an objective comment upon the relationship mentioned above and the existence of the overseas Chinese and their influence on the society of their hometowns.Some regularities and conclusions are drawn.It holds that the roles played by the overseas Chinese and the ethnic Chinese are shown mainly in the phase of social transformation.With the acceleration of economic globalization,this relationship will take on new forms.And this is worthy to be noticed.
