Clinical observation of "Shipi Gushen Huayu Decoction" in treating chronic glomerulonephritis

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Shipi Gushen Huayu Decoction in the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis.Methods Sixty subjects were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group in which 32 cases were treated with Shipi Gushen Huayu Decoction and control group in which 28 cases were treated with Monroe,with a course of 3 months.The symptom scores,24h urinary protein and renal function were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,some symptom scores were reduced in the treatment group(P0.01),with more significant reduction in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.01);the 24h urinary protein was diminished in the treatment group(P0.01);while the renal function was improved little in both groups(P0.05);the clinical efficacy was better in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Shipi Gushen Huayu Decoction is effective for chronic glomerulonephritis.
