Study of Electroless Nickel Plating on the Surface of Cotton Fiber

Abstract

The operating methods,the process and the influence of several factors on nickel-plating on the surface of cotton fiber were studied.Then it was tested the combination strength between chemical coating and cotton fiber and determined the process and the optimum conditions finally.The quality of electroless nickel-plating was good,when the cotton fibers were pretreated,sensitized,and activated,the pH=8.5,the reaction temperature was 90°C and the reaction time was 40 min.
