Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the use of oral antiplatelet drugs and anticoagulant drugs in a hospital during 2008-2010 period in order to provide references for clinical rational drug use.METHODS: The utilization data of oral antiplatelet drugs and anticoagulant drugs during 2008-2010 period in this hospital were retrieved from hospital Drug Storehouse Management System, and the distribution of drug utilization among the discharged patients during 2008-2010 period were collected by using hospital PASS system. The statistical data were analyzed with regard to DDDs,consumption sum,DDC order and B/A analysis by using the drug utilization study in pharmacoepidemiology.RESULTS: Aspirin was ranked at 1 in DDDs and clopidogrel was ranked at 1 in consumption sum.Aspirin had the lowest DDC while rivaroxaban had the highest DDC.The B/A values of aspirin, dipyridamole and warfarin were all greater than 1.CONCLUSION: The use tendency of oral anticoagulant drugs witnessed no significant change during 2008-2010 period;however, the introduction of rivaroxaban fluctuated in the order of consumption sum.The medication indications, administration and dosage of oral antiplatelet drugs and anticoagulant drugs for the inpatients were basically in line with the guidance recommended by State Ministry of Health and Chinese Medical Association as well as the regulations as stated in drug package inserts.
