Abstract

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect and adverse reactions of tropisetron in preventing nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapeutic drugs including cisplain.Methods:32 patients with cancer undergoing chemotherapy regimens including cisplain were divided randomly into 2 groups(observative group was given tropisetron before chemotherapy and control group was given ondansetron). The situation of nausea, vomiting and adverse reactions were observed and recorded. Results:There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between tropisetron and ondansetron in preventing nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy(P0.05).Tropisetron was superior to ondansetron in the complete control rate(P0.05).There was no significant difference in the adverse reactions between tropisetron and ondansetron(P0.05).Conclusion:Tropisetron was safe and effective in preventing nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapeutic drugs including cisplain.
