Study on treatment of severe poisoning patients from medicines and poisons : A report of 109 cases

Abstract

Objective- To explore the therapeutic measures and curative effect of the patients with acute poisoning from medicines and poisons by means of combined hemoperfusion (HP) and hemodialysis(HD). Methods- Clinical data of 109 patients with acute poisoning from medicines and poisons were gathered and examined for retrospective study. Results- In 109 cases, 97 patients (89.0%) were completely cured, 84 patients (77.1%) received treatment for only once and 71 patients(65.1%)gained consciousness during treatment or 4h after that. Conclusion- This method is one of the best measures to save patients with acute poisoning.
