Abstract
Objective To analyze the status of clinical blood transfusion in Air Force General Hospital of PLA from 2000 to 2010 and provide guidance for more effective and reasonable blood transfusion. Methods The situation of blood transfusion in hospital from 2000 to 2010 was analyzed and the percentage of each blood component transfusion and the rate of autologous blood transfusion were analyzed. Results The percentage of blood component transfusion was higher than 99% from 2002 to 2010.The rate of autologous blood transfusion had been higher than 20% since 2003.The units of red cell transfused per person was gradually reduced, while the use of plasma and platelets transfused per person was significantly increased. Conclusion The percentage of blood component transfusion and the rate of autologous blood transfusion have reached the advanced level, while the plasma abuse and platelets transfusion should be controlled.
