Abstract

In different phases of Chinese history happened several incidents of paying and declining wine tribute.All these incidents,however,shared the reason.As a prosperous produce lasting for millennia over there,the wine was produced all over the vast geographical space of the West.As a result,the wine symbolized the West and was given a certain symbolic implication,which was most prominently showed in Tang poetry.
