On the Status and Reform of Criminal Summary Procedure in China

At present,the contradictions between crime and the shortage of resources in justice are increasing fast at China.Criminal summary procedure including the light of the program is no doubt of the most effective measure to improve the efficiency.There are serious defects with criminal summary procedure system in legislation and judicial practice of China now,it cannot adapt to the new situation of the criminal trial needs yet.Setting up the multi-level criminal summary procedure system,confering rights for the defendant to start of the summary procedure,with such reform measures is the key to improve criminal summary procedure system.
