Abstract
Objective: To study the risk factors for cerebral infarction resulting form transient ischemic attack(TIA).Methods: The clinical data of 220 hospitalized patients with TIA were evaluated. Results: More than 3 attacks, attacks lasted longer than 30 minutes, serious nerve function damage, and hypertension, diabetes or hyperlipoidemia were identified as independent risk factors of cerebral infarction.Anti-platelet,anticoagulation,defibrination therapy was proven to be the factors which could lower the risk of cerebral infarction after TIA.Conclusion: Multiple attacks, prolonged ischemic duration, and more cerebral vascular disease risk factors indicate increased risk of stroke after TIA.Antithrombotic therapy is of great significance in preventing cerebral infarction after TIA.
