Abstract
Objective:To design an formula of buccal tablets of ambroxol hydrochloride.Method: By using orthogonal design, different formula and active ingredients according to the characteristics of buccal tablets were evaluated by the effect of the hardness, appearance characteristics, and in vitro dissolution. At the same time,an appropriate sweet excipient was used to rectify the taste. Results: The optimal formulation composed of mannitol 150 g,xylitol 150 g,lactose 60 g,aspartame 6 g,orange flavor 3 g,citric acid 1 g.All the tested indexes conformed to the stipulation,in addition with cooling mouth feels. Conclusion: The proposed process method is reasonable and favorable for industrial production.
