Abstract
A study on the physiological-biochemical changes of different soybean varieties under drought stress was carried out. The results showed that cell membrane injury, WSS, free proline, malonaldehyde (MDA) were increased obviously with the increase of drought stress and activity of superoxygen dismutase (SOD) was increased a little in earlier stage and decreased in later stage. Different contents of cell membrane injury, WSS and free proline were correlated with drought-resistance ability of soybean, WSS and free proline of the variety with better drought-resistance ability was more than that of the weaker ones, while the increase of cell membrane injury led to the variety with better drought-resistance ability was less than that of the weaker ones. But that content of MDA and activity of SOD did not exhibit obvious regularity with drought-resistance in different varieties.
