Evaluation on the Technological Innovation Performance of High-tech Industry in Western China Based on DEA

Abstract

In this paper,from the perspective of input-output,the paper firstly establishes the index system of evaluating the technological innovation performance of high-tech industry in western China.Secondly,using the DEA model,the paper evaluates the technological innovation performance of high-tech industry in 6 provinces,1 municipality and 1 autonomous region in western China and it obtains the ordering result based on DEA value.Finally,through calculating the dual prices of ineffective decision making units,the optimum improvement strategies are presented.As a result,the paper offers the decision basis for promoting the technological innovation performance of high-tech industry in western China comprehensively.
