Treatment of the Combined Effluents from Washing/Screening/Bleaching by Hydrolysis and Bio-Contact Oxidation

Abstract

Lab study of treatment of the combined effluents from washing,screening,bleaching plants by simple pretreatment,hydrolysis acidification and bio-contact oxidation process was carried out in order to decide the optimum running parameters in anaerobic and aerobic bio-reactors.Experiment results showed that the effluent with 2400 mg/L COD_ Cr could be purified to meet the national discharge standard of GB3544—2001by using the technology suggested in this paper.
