Abstract
Failure rate of transmission and transformation equipments is very important ground data for asset management,especially for the maintenance of running equipments.In the past,bathtub curve is often used to calculate failure rate.But with the development of Condition Based Maintenance(CBM),the failure rate based on the equipment condition is focused on.This paper gave an exponential estimation model combined with the advantage of qualitative model and quantitative model.Two examples for equipment health index and equipment handicap are analyzed.The results show the exponential model is reasonable and would be a good reference for the practice.
