Abstract

Wang Fuzhi was a preeminent representative of Xiang Chu culture and a great enlightenment thinker during Ming and Qing dynasty.Essentially speaking,his moral personality,with humanity or humaneness lying at its core,is characterized by such moral category as cultivating moral character and putting family's affairs in order,governing the state and conquering the world.The outstanding quality of him was that he exhibited his nationalism,unyieldingness and moral purity when national contradiction rose to the position of the principal social contradiction and family,state and nationality lost grip with dominating power and subject to domination by alien people.The three contributed to his loftiness and greatness and enlightens us about the fostering of modern moral personality,that is,a clear value orientation and goal,a high sense of willingness to shoulder responsibility and an unwavering perseverance,and a dauntless will.
