Abstract

Liu Xiang,born west Han Dynasty,thought that there was no distinction between good and evil about human nature, good or evil was the result of postnatal education and effect of surroundings. So cultivating one's moral character was necessary. The way of cultivating one's moral character was loarning, one would be understood the sense of life and train ed to have a right attitude of life by studying. The aim of cultivating was fo embody the meaning and value of life,of promot the realm of life, and reach the senior aim of life. Liu Xiang thought the meaning and value of life were to keep one's moral courage and dignity, the saupreme realm of life was the esthetic realm , the supreme aim of life was of form a perfect moral personality.
