Abstract
[Objective] To evaluate the features of high frequency ultrasonography and color Doppler ultrasonography in benign and malignant breast tumor in order to promote the diagnostic accuracy. [Methods] Eighty-seven patients with breast tumors were screened with two-dimensional ultrasound and color doppler flow imaging (CDFI). The distribution of the tumor blood vessels was recorded and inspeded with pulsed wave doppler (PWD) to identify the highest peak systolic velocity(PSV) and resistant index(RI). [Results] The feature of tumor boundaries and shapes were of most importance for differentiation between benign and matignant breast tumor. There was significant difference in the grade of blood flow between the benign and malignant tumors. The characteristics of blood flow were revealed in the breast cancer. The RI and PSV were different between benign and malignant neoplasms (P 0.05) [Conclusion] High frequency ultrasonography with color doppler ultrasongraphy can be used for accurate differental diagnosis of breast tumor.
