Meta-analysis in the treatment of negative symptom of schizophrenia by aripiprazole

Abstract

Objective To understand the difference in treatment of negative symptom between aripiprazole and other antipsychotics. Methods 24 comparative studies of aripiprazole and other antipsychotics in the treatment of negative symptom were analyzed by Meta-analysis in effect side and comprehensive. Results The significant difference in change of negative symptom before and after treatment by aripiprazole was found,no significant difference in change of negative symptom between aripiprazole and other antipsychotics. Conclusion The effect of aripiprazole on schizophrenia negative symptom was significant which didn't differ from other antipsychotics.The difference of effects side varies in difference drug.
