Abstract
Yang Yu-chun,a famous military general and Governor of Shan and Gan in the middle period of Qing Dynasty,played an important role for maintaining the feudal rule of Qing Dynasty from Qianlong to Daoguang.This article analyzes his military ability from the following five aspects: with the few won the more through excellent ways,not only wiped out but also solaced the enemies in order to reduce costs,besieged the enemies and attacked their reinforcements then annihilated them,fought with enemies in the front of his soldiers and controlled them by effective methods,created the military matrix by himself and forged the strong military force.This analysis will deepen the understanding of this historical figure.
