Effects of Chinese Herbal Feed Additives onWeight Gain,Routine Blood Indexes and the Level Immunoglobulin in Swine

To study effects of Chinese herbal feed additives on weight gain,routine blood indexes and immune function in swine,24 Yorkshire pigs were divided into control group,experiment 1,2 and 3 groups and 6 pigs in each group,randomly.The pigs in control group were fed with the basal diet,and in the experiment groups were plus 3%,4% and 5% Chinese herbal feed additives in the basal diet for a trial period of 42 days.Before and after experiments,the weight,the average daily gain,feed conversion and routine blood indexes,immunoglobulin(IgG,IgA,and IgM) contents were tested and recorded.The results showed that the weight gains were improved in experimental groups,with the group 1 best.The dose in group 1 can significantly improve the counts of lymphocytes,plasma cells,unstained cells and monocytes,as well as IgG and IgM levels.The result showed that Chinese herbal feed additives can promote weight gain,and enhance the role of immunization.
