Analysis on the Industrial Structure Benefit of Gansu Province since the Reform and Opening-up

According to the time series data of the three main industries in Gansu Province from 1978 to 2008,the industrial structure benefit of Gansu Province is studied from different perspectives based on the overview of the analysis methods of industrial structure benefits and by applying the analysis models including comparative labor productivity,Industrial structure deviation degree and shift—share model.The results show that,in Gansu Province,the labor productivity is low in the primary and tertiary industries,while that in the secondary industry is high;the industrial structure deviation coefficient in large and the industrial structure is extremely out of proportion to employment proportion;the percentage of the sunrise industries is large and has great contribution to economic growth.However,the competiveness of the three main industries is weak and need further improvement.
