Distribution of Liao and Jin Ancient City in Liaoning Region

Qidan and Nvzhen established Liao and Jin kingdom one after another during 10th and early 13th Century,both of which had a great influence in Chinese history as well as world history.Archaeological workers have found a large amount of remains of Liao-Jin ancient cities in Liaoning province since the beginning of 20th Century.It is a positive evidence for the important position in Liao and Jin dynasty as communication passage,trade center with advance money economy.As the major location of the ancient cities,Liaoning region is a good case to know the distributive characters,architectural characters,administrative setting,communication,city planning,defense works of the ancient cities.This is good for us to have a general picture of the history of Liao and Jin,and a further understanding of the prosperous process and reason of Liaoning region in the middle century.
