ALA-PDT to Condyloma Acuminatum:Clinical Observation for Treatment Effects

Abstract

Objective To observe treatment effects and security of ALA-PDT to genital warts.Methods Twenty-eight condyloma acuminatum patients were treated with ALA-PDT for 1-2 times.The treatment effects and side effects were observed respectively after 1 week.And the recurrence rates were counted after 3 months.Results After 1-2 times photodynamic treatment,the healing rate was 92.9%.And the recurrence rate was 34.6% after 3 months.The most common local side effect was mild edema and erosion.Conclusions With the advantages of mild side effects and low recurrence rates,ALA-PDT is an efficient treatment to condyloma acuminatum.
