Abstract
The clustered shoots generated from proliferation period of Phalaenopsis amabilis were used as explant in order to study the browning of tissue culture.The treatments include two adsorbents: active carbon,PVP,and three pretreatments: explants preserved at 4℃ for 24 hours,with darkness pretreatment for 5 days and 10 days.The results indicated that active carbon was the best one of all the treatments,which could control browning and promote explant growth.Except for the explants preserved at 4℃ for 24 hours,the other treatments could decrease browning,but the effects were not as good as active carbon.
